Grad 2013
So this is it? This is the year we have been building up to our whole school careers? I always thought it would be more then this, maybe more fun, or exciting. And now we are suppose to know exactly what we want to do with the rest of our lives ? Well what if we don't know.. what are we suppose to do then? And when we graduate it's just over, high school is over, thats kinda a big deal and we are suppose to be alright with that? Well I dont know if I can be. And we just have one ceremony and get a single piece of paper and thats all we have to remember our school career, a single piece of paper? School has been way more important then to just have a piece of paper to remember it bye. Not being able to see all the friends I have grown up with and gotten so close with over the past thirteen years will be so difficult. Everything will be so different.

Maddie, the piece of paper is just the finalization. Its what has happened in between the first day of grade 9 and the day you get the piece of paper. Its not always "how you do in school" its "what you do while you are there." This is what makes the memories. Although life will bring you so many more memories.....great ones...the memories of high school are like no other. The day to day with friends, the fun, the projects, the weekends, the long hot summers filled with parties and swimming with your friends, become embedded in your heart. Some day,new friends, a college gratuation, a job, a promotion,a new car, a wedding and having a family will be so huge and its so much to look forward to,however the memories from high school will always remain special in their own way. You WILL lose touch with friends and then you WILL reconnect. That is amazing! Your lives become different when they were once so much alike and dependent on each other. Unfortunately, its not until you are out of high school that you realize all of this. But that is life. Enjoy the next two months and grad week....and oh yeah....no, you don't need to know what you are doing. That takes time and there is lots to do in the meantime. Don't feel pressured to know right now. Take time and think about. Research your choice and picture your self making a career out of it.(make the best choice you can with the future in mind) Even that can change. Its just how life is, Maddie. There is no rush when you are young. The best of luck to you!
